Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and NCP chief Omar Abdullah has questioned Congress President Rahul Gandhis decision to revolve his campaign around Rafale. He said that the Congress will now have to think whether sticking onto Rafale and calling Prime Minister chaowkidaar chor hai were the right call. Rahul Gandhi in his entire campaign called Prime Minister a thief who stole money from HAL and gave it to a certain business person. The Congress chief was the only party head who continued with this slogan, no other party leader from the UPA alliance used this fearing voter backlash as prime mister is believed to be incorruptible. He further said that he hopes the prime minister will take everyone along with the kind of majority he has got. The BJP-led NDA is heading for a landslide. The NDA is ahead on 349 seats, while the Congress-led UPA is leading on 90. The BJP alone is leading on 296 seats whereas the Congress over 51 seats. Counting of votes is still underway. Bring on the next five years, he said. Omars father Farooq Abdullah is all set to win from the Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency. He expressed hope that the new government would do justice with the state and engage in a dialogue with Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir issue.
