Mumbai continued to receive heavy downpour on Monday, affecting the traffic and trains in the city. Reports said that the city recorded over 100 mm of rainfall between 4 to 5am on Monday. The weather station in Santacruz recorded 91 mm of rainfall in 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Monday, an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said, predicting more showers in the city and in the parched Marathwada and Vidarbha regions of Maharashtra. A 30-year-old man was electrocuted in in Govandi, Mumbai on Sunday night, news agency ANI reported. The vehicular movement from suburbs towards south Mumbai and the Bandra-Kurla Complex, where several corporate houses and private companies are located, was slow due to the incessant showers.
